Marlies was born and raised in Munich. She has a long experience working as a massage therapist. In 2012, she began her professional training in the Feldenkrais Method and started teaching Feldekrais group classes and individual lessons. In September 2022, she opened the Feldenkrais Exarchia Center, named after the neighbourhood in the heart of Athens where it is located. She continues to participate in international professional training courses in the Feldenkrais Method.
